River Roads Artisans Gallery is located along the Kennebec- Chaudiere Corridor, one of Maine's most storied roads. Centuries ago, the Kennebec River was a passage of trade amongst the settlers of this region, as well as a travel route for workers to Maine's woods, mills, and shoe factories. It is increasingly famed as a route to find many of Maine's most creative and talented artists! We are glad to reflect this for Maine's creative economy and contribute to the re-vitalization of our River Town.
It is with this goal in mind that we invite you, the artisan and patrons, to look inside these pages to sample the continuing independent vision of those who live in Maine. Within these walls are fiber artists, painters, photographers, jewelers and many others who working alone or in collaboration bring the very best of themselves to what they create.
